CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Yoga Practice:  Find balance between effort and relaxation in a class that combines the strength of held postures and the serenity of breath-directed movement.  Classes are based around the fluid movements of the sun salutation and end with a final relaxing meditation.  Patricia works with all level of student in each practice and can help you modify postures to suit your individual needs.

Meditation:  Ancient meditation techniques teach you how to relax and be in the present moment. Through the use of visualization, the mind and breath find a rhythm that will bring you to clarity in your own life. Each yoga session ends in meditation.

We Choose to Love

Posted by: Patricia D. Brown on: December 29, 2009

In following you, O Christ, we choose to love and not to harden our hearts, even when the incomprehensible happens. As we remain in your presence with perseverance, day after day, and pray with simplicity of heart, you come and make us into people who are a leaven of confident trust by the way we live. And all that your Gospel calls us to, all that you ask of us, you give.

Gratefulness

Posted by: Patricia D. Brown on: December 19, 2009

“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy–because we will always want to have something else or something more.”
