Spiritworks travels to Harrisburg on Monday for the presentation team’s proposal, “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” being presented to Bishop Jane Middleton of the United Methodist Church. The program supports our vets both pre- and post-deployment as well as their families while they are on active service. “Spiritworks” then travels to Seattle this week where Patricia looks forward to yoga-ing with some past students and friends. Now is the time for Spiritworks participants to let Patricia know what works for them in scheduling classes that resume the week of January 18. E-mail Patricia at pdbrown@spiritworks.org. In following you, O Christ, we choose to love and not to harden our hearts, even when the incomprehensible happens. As we remain in your presence with perseverance, day after day, and pray with simplicity of heart, you come and make us into people who are a leaven of confident trust by the way we live. And all that your Gospel calls us to, all that you ask of us, you give.

“Gratefulness is the key to a happy life that we hold in our hands, because if we are not grateful, then no matter how much we have we will not be happy–because we will always want to have something else or something more.”
